The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test  or ASVAB has been administered by the military for many years.  The results can used in a variety of ways.  One is for entrance into the military should a student wish to follow this career path.  Another is for career exploration when the counselor pushes into a classroom to interpret scores and review the interest inventory and website materials.  Results are also reported to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for use in the district's Annual Performance Report.  Students usually take this assessment in their junior year of high school.
